Try on haul video transcript:

Hi friends, how are you?
Welcome back to my channel for just a fun summertime video.
I did this last year, honestly expected it to flop because I kind of just wanted to do
it for me and weirdly it did not flop at all.
So I was like, maybe we do it again this year and that is a cheap swimsuit haul.
I went ahead and bought them from the same place as the videos last year and that's Cup
Sheet because I had quite a few successes.
And my reasoning last year is swimsuits are so expensive and there's such small amounts
of fabric like it just like I don't know why I can't fathom it at all.
All of these, the set combined, they are all under $30 for the top and the bottom combined
and I do not intend to keep all of these.
What we're going to do is I'm going to try them on, I'm going to rate them out of 10
and then I'm going to just probably keep a couple for my upcoming beach trips and return
the rest.
I am selfishly glad I am doing this again because I went through kind of like a body
positivity journey this last year and have put on a good amount of weight since last
summer, which I'm very proud of.
And so a lot of those swimsuits don't even fit me anymore.
So I need a couple new ones that fit my 2023 body.
So that's enough chit chat.
I'm going to open all these up and see which tops go with which bottoms and then we will
look at them, try them on, rate them, rinse and repeat.
OK, I did notice weirdly they have different kind of like collections, I guess, like
Dreamscapes is one of them or with Vanessa Midnight.
I ended up getting a lot from the collection called Italian Boyache.
Most of the things I got are high waisted.
I'm just a high waisted girl.
This looks cute because it is like a scoop neck, although this does not look like a
lot of fabric between here and here.
So we'll see how that fits.
Everything I ordered was in a size small.
So we'll see how consistent all these sizes are.
But we're going to start with this one.
This like cute high waisted.
This gives retro to me and it sounds just precious.
And I'll link these down below in order of appearance.
So that way it just makes it easier to find which ones which.
Let's get started with this one.
OK, swimsuit number one.
I love the vibe of this.
I'm really big on anything like nautical sailboat deep whatever.
And to me, this gives vintage sailboat vibes minus a point for the top because there's
no way to adjust it.
There's no adjustable straps or hook on the back at all.
So you kind of just have to look into it fitting you.
The bottoms, I do wish they were slightly higher waisted, like really lean into the
vintage. This is like a mid high waist.
So I wish it was maybe like one inch higher because I do think that that would make it
a little more vintage and a little more flattering to really hit like natural waist.
And the back has enough coverage.
I would prefer a little bit more, but enough.
So all in all, I think I'm going to give this one an eight of ten.
And depending on how it stacks up, I'm pretty sure for me it's going to be a keep.
But we'll see. I got two different black ribbed swimsuit options because I feel like
black ribbed is just so chic, especially when you like, you know, layer jewelry and
it's not really like a swimming, but more of like a lounging look.
You know, this one has an interesting cutout underneath, but it's like a little
peephole. And are these these might be one of the only not high waisted bottoms, I
think. Let's see. Let's see if this one can win me over.
But I'm going to I'm going to bet based off personal preference that this is not
going to be one of my favorites.
Trying it up with an open mind.
OK, I feel very exposed in these types of bottoms.
I knew that I would feel that way.
I think it's a cute concept of a swimsuit.
The little cutout detail is fun, but for me, I hate it.
I will say plus one point for the straps being adjustable, but there's no clasp in
the back of this one at all.
This is going to be a return for me, obviously.
The material is a little thinner than the last one.
I wouldn't quite say it like feels like it's going to hold up quite as well.
And the straps aren't super supportive.
I'm going to give it a six out of 10, but a return for me.
Like, I feel like I have to, like, hold my arms here to feel comfortable.
OK, the only patterned one we're trying on today, this is one of the Vanessa ones.
This is a cute high waisted floral swimsuit that has, like, a cutout detail
only on one side, which I thought is cool, asymmetrical.
And then it has kind of like a tie top.
This does look like more fabric on the top, which I do think I like.
And it has like a crisscross back.
So there's some fun details about this.
I will say there was one, one swimsuit that did not come in.
I did not realize it was a pre-order and it was the only other patterned one I got.
How do I, let's see if I can find a way to open this up on the website.
It's like a vintage red tone floral swimsuit.
It's also high-waisted, but it's ruched, which is always so flattering and kind
of like a V-neck with a lot of coverage.
To me, this one looks very anthropology.
Hopefully this one comes in before my Hawaii trip, but we will see for now.
Let's try on this one.
Okay.
This one, I feel super comfortable in the material.
This feels really nice and thick.
The couple little detailed cutouts here are fun, flirty, but I
still feel like very covered.
I don't feel like anything's going to slip out.
Like I wouldn't have to readjust anything at all.
This tie can also, I don't know if it can fully be removed or if it can just be untied,
but I feel like if you wanted even a little bit more coverage, yeah, okay.
So you could pull it like this.
And if you wanted to cut that tie from the inside, you totally could and have
just more of a scoop neck kind of top.
But I do like the tie.
I feel like it adds a little something.
I also think this light blue helps look a little more tan.
You know what I mean?
Lighter colors do have like a nice amount of contrast.
These straps are very thick and very nice and do adjust in the back, but
there is no, they've taken away a lot of the clasps this year, which is interesting.
And also so far for the first three, I feel like sizing is consistent.
I feel like all these smalls are fitting similarly, which is great.
I think all of these, you can order a different size top versus bottom.
Either you order them separately, or if they come as a set, you could specify,
which I do really appreciate because sometimes looking at styles, I do want to
like size up in the bottoms or whatever that might be, but this one, I
honestly might even like it more than the first.
It is more high-waisted, just ever so slightly.
I feel like it might be half an inch higher.
I give this one a nine out of 10, and I think it might be a keep.
I just feel comfortable.
And that's really at the end of the day, what matters the most.
This is going to be interesting to see how I get it on because it's supposed to
like crisscross tie around your waist a couple times.
I'm going to just zoom into that picture.
We'll see if I can figure out how to get that on, but we have that.
And then yet again, another scoop neck top.
It kind of seems like the same cut as one of the early swimsuits.
So we'll see how the coverage does, but I do think it's a fun, bright color.
I normally don't go for bright colors.
I'm a very beige girl, as you can tell by me and my surroundings, but I'm trying
to push my comfort zone a little bit and go with a couple more fun, bright
things for summer and see how I like it.
OK, I do think that this one is fun and different with this little tie
that you tie above the waist.
I will say I want to tighten these straps so bad.
I have a short torso, and so I normally like to tighten the straps
also just for more support.
And this is another one with no way to adjust anything.
And it's funny because I feel like the first one I tried on
fit a little bit tighter than this one.
And it's a very similar cut.
I don't dislike it.
I'm kind of a little bit torn, honestly,
as to like if I would like it enough to wear it and keep it
or if it's just like a little too far outside my comfort zone.
Basically, I'm torn.
I think I'd give this one a seven.
So, you know, it's passing.
It's passing, but it's not a star student.
My thoughts are a little inconclusive on this one.
This one I'm excited about because it's color blocked and it's ribbed.
Those are two things I like.
And it's like kind of more muted colors, you know, a navy
and a kind of sky blue.
I thought yet again, it was it was giving a little vintage.
And this looks like it has great coverage.
This looks like kind of a sports bra top, which that's just what I feel most comfortable.
And I don't want to be like adjusting all day and worried about it.
Let's see. The back of this isn't a ton of fabric.
I do have high hopes for the top of this one, at least.
I am surprised at how much I love the way this one feels.
This one feels so nice, so different from the rest, honestly.
And this gives me a good perspective on the last swimsuit.
I think that the way that this feels is so much better.
So the last probably will be a return.
Let me explain what's different.
The ribbed material of this is so much more supportive.
Like I feel held in. I feel supported.
It just feels really, really nice, stretchy.
But like I have no other word besides supported at all.
This top, I feel just so comfortable.
I feel like I can actually like literally go to the gym and work out in this.
It feels sports bra adjacent and the straps are adjustable.
So I was able to tighten them for a little extra support as well.
My only wish is yet again that this was like because this is vintage vibes.
I feel like it would be even better if it was just here.
You see what I mean? Like I would feel more covered.
I would feel just like cuter because it would be hitting more of my natural waist.
And I do think it would play into the vintage quite a bit
instead of where it does hit, which is slightly below my belly button.
It's retro. It's fun. I'm so comfortable.
Keep, keep, keep. Nine point five.
Not quite a ten, but nine point five.
One more ribbed.
This is the other black one that I got.
And this one looks incredibly modest, which I'm so excited about.
This is another one from that.
What is it called? Italian voyage or voyage, however you want to say it.
And I'm really hopeful that I will feel good in this one
because look at look at that amount of fabric.
It's almost like a crop top instead of just a tiny bikini top.
And yet again, just plain black, high waisted bottoms.
I'm feeling confident that I will like this one and feel comfortable in it.
But we don't know until we try. So let's try.
OK, I love the concept of this one.
I'm a little torn on the fit of the top
because it is a little loose to where I just wish it was a bit more fitted
and would read more as like, you know, a crop top.
Something about this feels a little uncomfortable,
like it's not quite supportive enough.
But I do really like it.
And I feel like it's a good swimsuit for the days.
And I'm just like, not really feeling like wearing something really small
and, you know, showing it all to the world.
Black is a flattering color.
And then this has the most coverage out of anything.
So I am really tempted to keep it for the days that I'm just,
you know, wanting to go swim without wearing a little teeny bikini.
So I would give this a seven point five.
I like it better than that other seven.
And I do think it's just like it's simple. It's nice.
I feel like I've seen this kind of cut trending a little bit more.
And it does look cute with jewelry, I will say.
Imagine this with a couple additional layered necklaces.
And the last one is also the Italian voyage collection.
This is so cute because it almost kind of has like an asymmetrical color block
scoop neck. We'll see.
But I love those two colors together.
And the bottoms are just simple like this.
But I thought that that was yet again, a fun little color palette.
Color blocking is just I'm into it.
I think it's fun for swimsuits and for summer.
So I'm hopeful.
I'm hopeful that this is going to be another one that I like
and will want to keep because the whole set was twenty four ninety nine.
OK. And last but not least, this one's interesting
that it's the only one that has the hooks in the back, but not adjustable straps.
And as you can see, like I would like to pull this a little bit tighter
and adjust that strap a bit.
It feels just a little loose to me, but it is nice that I could
kind of increase the bottom support by tightening that.
The bottoms I love.
I think that they're a really great, you know, length and amount of coverage for me.
And I do like this, like asymmetrical kind of pattern.
So I don't know what I would rate this.
I think for me, it might be returned because I had some others that fit better
and I didn't feel like I needed to adjust.
But I love the concept of this one.
Like, I think the the cut and the style is very, very cute.
I think I'm going to give it a six point five, but probably do it as a return.
So looking back, everything that was a seven point five and above, I'm keeping
and everything that was a seven and below, I am returning,
which I think is pretty good.
So that gives me one, two, three, four.
That gives me four keeps.
Four new swimsuits.
That's a pretty good deal.
And we'll see if you're part of my vlog fam.
If that last swimsuit comes in any time soon, I will I will unbox it in the vlogs
because I'm really, really hopeful for that one.
I'm looking at them all laid out and I totally had a color palette.
There's two black, two green and three like navy blue combinations,
which is really funny.
But thanks for letting me do just like a fun light hearted video
and prepare for some upcoming travel to some tropical places,
which will be really fun.
Like I said, I'm going to link these in order that we tried them on
so that hopefully it'll just help because it's hard to describe
like the two black rib ones versus each other.
This is just a good old time.
So thanks for being here.
I love you very much.
I hope you have the best rest of your day.
And I will see you in another video very soon.
All night, all night, all night, all night, all night.
If we're looking for each other, then it might just take some time.
So let's take all night, all night, all night, all night, all night.
