Hello, hello, I am Meredith, welcome back to my YouTube channel.Thank you guys so much for tuning back in.
If you guys are new here, I am a mid-size and curvy content creator and I create tons
of hauls and try-ons for you women at home to help make your lives easier.
I know how challenging it can be to dress our curvy bodies, so I really hope that my
hauls and try-ons help you guys find some clothes that will work for your shape and
for your bodies.
I have a very exciting curvy bathing suit haul and try-on for you guys from no other
than Icon Swim.
Now, this is a brand that I have never tried before.
Today is a paid collaboration, but I have to tell you that all opinions and thoughts
are my own.
I am really excited about trying this brand because the models on their website sort of
look like my body.
I'm really hoping that these suits will fit me the way that I had hoped and dreamed of.
Often times when I'm shopping online, I do not see my body shape represented online,
so shopping can be really challenging.
And if you've been around for a while and you've watched some of my other videos, you
know that I have a challenging body to dress.
With that being said, I am 5'7'' for reference.
I have a 36 inch bust, a 29 inch waist, and a 44 inch hip.
I am usually a medium on top and a medium on bottom and or a size 8 or 10 and sometimes
a 6 depending on the brand and depending on the cut and how much stretch it has.
Today, all of the bathing suits that I'm going to be trying on are a size medium.
They are super affordable.
If you head over to Icon Swim, you will see that they have an incredible selection of super
sexy bathing suits, bikinis, one pieces, cover ups.
They also have some classics and some basics and I'm really excited to just show you guys
what they sent my way.
So without further ado, let's get into it.
So first, I'm going to start out with this incredible cover up.
I am absolutely in love with this color and this print and I'm also in love with the way
that it fits me.
It could not fit me better.
You guys know that sometimes I have a challenging time trying to find dresses that fit me because
there's usually some extra fabric in this area, but the way that this fits is perfect.
It does have an adjustable halter tie at the top so I could even make it a little bit lower,
which will then make it a little bit lower in the back.
But I really like the way that it's fitting right now.
It is super stretchy and it's sheer and I have a brown bikini on underneath.
I just love this so much and then I'm going to show you guys what's on underneath.
This is the first bikini that I'm going to be showing you guys today.
It is a brown color and I usually sort of stray away from brown, but with my sort of
lighter hair color now, I feel like brown actually works for me and I have a little
bit of a tan because I just got back from Cabo not too long ago.
So the brown is actually working really well for me.
I have on a G string.
This is a thong bathing suit, not something that I typically would buy for myself.
I will say that these sort of skinny straps on the side, they're just not my favorite.
I feel like they're probably meant to be worn down here.
I don't really like wearing things down here because I don't think that it's flattering
on my body.
I would typically want to wear it up here, except for it rolls down every time that I
pull it up.
I don't think that the bottoms are my favorite, but that's okay.
I love this set together.
This top is just a classic triangle top.
It has removable pads on the inside.
It does have adjustable strap on this one side here.
So if you need a little bit more lift, you can go ahead and tighten this up.
It does have a gold clasp in the back.
I don't know because I haven't ever worn a G string bottom like this before out on a
beach or in public for that matter.
It might grow on me in terms of how it's fitting me.
We're going to do things a little bit differently today.
Usually I save my most favorite for last, but I decided to put on what I think will
be my most favorite next because I just could not wait to see what this looked like on me.
I am 1000% obsessed with this suit.
I mean, can we talk about this?
You guys, this is so good.
First of all, it has like a three quarters length sleeve on one arm.
It has these really cool sort of metal circles and clasps in the center here.
There is no sleeve or strap for the side, which I was sort of worried about the way
that it was going to fit, but it actually fits really nicely.
I did have to do some small adjusting, which I think might be just par for course with
this suit.
And we really need to talk about what's always the issue for me.
It's the bottoms.
The bottoms are great coverage.
They are not giving me a wedgie.
They have lots of elastic around the seam of it.
So I feel like these are definitely going to stay in place and they are definitely
going to be wedgie proof.
And I just love the silhouette of this.
I love the two different color oranges.
I love the blue strap in the center, which I think just makes the suit.
If it didn't have this, it wouldn't be the same.
I am really, really, really happy with the way that this is fitting.
Again, I'm in a size medium.
I think that if you guys don't know already that orange is going to be the color of the
season, it is all over the place everywhere.
But we love.
Next up is this super cute patterned one piece.
I have to be honest with you guys.
I was not sure that I was going to like this sort of color combination against my skin.
And I feel like it's a little bit of a yellow color, but also beige is kind of a mix between
the two.
And yellow for me is not a color that I love on my skin complexion and with my coloring.
I feel like I just need a little bit more contrast between my suit and my skin.
Other than that, I love this print, you guys.
The print is so, so, so cute.
I feel like this fits perfectly.
This is a classic halter one piece.
It does have a tie closure at the back so you can adjust it accordingly to how much
lift and compression that you want.
It is very fitted.
I love the way that it fits.
It does not have any padding or sort of bralette style, anything on the top, which I was a
little bit afraid of.
But I feel like it does fit really, really, really well.
And I'm not super bothered by the way that my chest is laying.
I think that the bottom part of this bathing suit fits really well.
And there is a pretty significant elastic around the seam of the bathing suit, just
making me feel really sort of secure.
And I feel like the bottoms are just going to stay put.
They are super wedgie proof as of right now.
I love, love, love this as well.
And let's move on to the next one.
Next up, I am in a two toned purple one piece with this super, super cute sort of metal detail
strap on my right hand side.
I love this suit for so many reasons.
Usually you guys know that I do not like cutouts on the side, but this is high enough where it
would be like a high waisted bottom on me.
So I'm okay with this.
I'm okay with this cutout.
I love the fact that it's two toned, a lighter purple and a darker purple.
I love the silhouette of it.
It just is like a more unique sort of one piece than just a regular one piece, if you
will.
However, we are noticing that the bottoms are rolling in on me a little bit more so
than the other ones.
I don't know if I was just trying to find the right place for it to stay sort of put,
but this one may not be completely wedgie proof like the others.
And that's okay.
I mean, not everything is going to be wedgie proof.
One note that I wanted to point out are the straps are adjustable.
When I initially put this on, I didn't think that they were adjustable.
I thought that they were just fixed so that it is good news in the event that you need
to change it according to your body shape and your size.
And lastly, you also should know that there is no lining.
There's no extra lining across the bust.
There are no pads.
This is uncharted territories for me.
I feel a little bit exposed.
I feel a little extra less lifted and but that's okay.
I feel like it fits great.
And I think that not everything needs to have pads or a shell lining or anything like that.
This is like a true bathing suit.
We have officially made it to the last suit, but I wanted to quickly show you guys a pair
of sandals they sent my way as well.
I got a size nine and they fit perfectly.
We're ending with a bang because this suit is a nether amazing suit.
I love the way that it fits.
And of course, it's the color of the season.
They sent me two orange bathing suits, which I could not be mad at.
I love the way that this has sort of like a little off the shoulder moment here.
I wasn't sure how I was going to like the breast coverage because it feels like it's
sort of like it's really the compression is strong and I feel like it might be just
like pushing in my chest a little bit.
I don't hate it.
That's for sure.
I love the sort of little twist here detail at the bottom.
I love the front cutout and the back is super cute.
I would suggest clasping this before you put the bathing suit on because I struggled trying
to do it myself.
The bum coverage is great.
The compression throughout the whole thing is great.
The straps are not adjustable, so keep that in mind.
I love the V cut of it.
I think the off the shoulder, cold shoulder moment is definitely making this bathing suit
super cute and super fierce.
