Welcome back to my channel, this is Carina
It's that time of the year again when you guys might be looking for some new summer dresses
Whether it's to go to a wedding or to bump into your ex accidentally on purpose
So now that my arm workout is complete for the week, we're gonna be trying on these 10 summer dresses
These are all from Shein so you know it's gonna be super affordable

And legit some of these dresses are like designer dupes
So first of all we have this Shein vacay dress
This is a cream satin dress
So it comes with an inner lining and the bottom of the lining is a little bit longer with this lace trim down here
I feel like it's giving a lot of like my grandma's tea table trim
There is a little silicone band on top of the chest area here
Along with the shoulder strap it's gonna keep things in place
It's just super important
Don't want to be giving dinner in a free show to everyone you know
I'm gonna be wearing pasties or those chicken breast fillet bras like these ones
Okay I'm gonna be licking these down below
See how like they just
I'm like trying to like get them off and they're not coming off
They're very very sticky you just do this
And then you're good to go with any dress
As well as a pair of running shorts that's from Glowmode
These ones is your Feel Like Butter
One of my top go-tos for safety shorts
They also prevent your thighs from chafing
Which in the summertime I know a lot of us experience
Don't sleep or skip on these
If anyone's wondering my height is 5'7 or 1.70cm

I'm not loving the overall shape of this dress
If you saw my previous video you'll know that it's really important
To have your outfit's shape complement your body type
It's neither an A-line dress or a flare dress
So I'm kind of confused to what it's supposed to look like
Because of the wide empire waistband here
It tends to not be very flattering on a lot of body types
And I'm looking at the reviews here
Literally hated it lol
Colors more beige and it's huge for an extra small
Don't buy
It didn't really make me look wide and fit big around my ribcage
I would say it's not too bad
I think the feel of it is really light and airy
And major major points for it not being see-through
I'm wearing my global shorts so you guys can see
It's completely black and this is not showing through
Oh I want to point out that I do like the fact that it's a little bit longer
So it's not one of those like micro belt dresses that come up to here
And it's actually more realistic and wearable for a lot of you guys with bubbly butts
Because your butts won't be peeking out from under the dress
I don't know why I'm doing that
Next up we have a little blue satin dress that looks pretty similar to the first one
Again with the lace shoulder cap sleeves
This time there is no silicone band at the front chest here
And then the back is a corset detail where you can tie it
I was reading the reviews on Shein and every single person was raving about this
Saying that it's amazing
It looks just like it's House of Sibidu
Oh my god
This dress even though it looks very similar to the first dress
Is so much better
So much better
Sorry
See that there's an unpaired but it starts a lot higher up
And it stops where the flare starts
And because of the length of this dress
You're not gonna get that effect where the flare just like goes out and then like straight downward
And this dress comes in five different colors
And the corset detail is really nice because you can customize the fit however you want
And then we have one layer and then the satin layer
Now I'm being completely honest
I would like the A shape flare to be just a little bit more on the flare side
Like this
Then we have this pink little mini dress
Which I was excited to see it on the Shein site
This is from the Shein Mod collection
If you're not familiar with the Mod collection
I think they have a lot of like really ethereal, super princessy, romantic, dreamy items
Only downside is that there is no model wearing these items on the site
So there's no way for you to visualize these dresses on a human
It's not giving the same vibe as what I feel when I look at the picture on the site
This is a ruffle dress with how many tears?
One, two, okay so like three layers in total
Which means that it's not going to be see-through
Just a little flower applique here in the middle of the chest in case you want to do this
Okay, is it just me or is this dress a little bit longer on the left than it's on the right?
Let me check the picture again
Okay yeah, definitely not
Or if mine is just like a defect
Then we have another mini pink dress
This one is a little similar to the first pink dress with white thick ribbon shoulder ties
I love these shoulder ties, they're always so ballet-core to me
And I love the fact that you can customize however high or low you want the dress to sit on your body
There are pretty little mini pearls embroidery going around the chest
As well as a trim of lace around here as well as the back
Okay guys, this pink dress fits so much better than the first pink dress that we tried on with the asymmetrical hemline
This dress is also on sale right now, it's $16
I actually think this is quite a value steal for what you're getting
The only downside to this dress is I'm not sure where I can realistically wear it to
But I'm gonna practice what I preach
Which is wear what makes you happy, whatever you want, whenever you want
Also not see-through, big big points
This is our last mini dress in this video
This is another white puffy sleeve mini dress
There are no model pictures with this dress
But if you click on the reviews you'll see a ton of real black people who actually purchased this dress and tried it on themselves took a picture
So the lining is pretty thick
I wonder if it's gonna be see-through, that's my top concern with all of these white summer dresses
It's just a hassle if you need to coordinate your underwear with these
Oh my god, shut the front door!
This is way too cute
This exceeded my expectations
I honestly would not have guessed that this is from Shein
It's a little bit longer in the back
Even though it's white, it's pretty non-see-through because it has an inner lining which is attached to this outer fabric
So it does a really good job of holding the outer fabric down
Especially when there's lots of wind going around picking things up, you know, giving you guys Marilyn Monroe moments
It's just like the ultimate princess dress
Okay, does this come in other colors?
Aw man, it only comes in white
I actually feel like this can be a really cute graduation dress if your graduation happens a little bit later in the summer
Make sure to grab this dress, it's so cute
I don't wanna say it a lot, I just like ran out of adjectives
Very buzzing, show-stopping, crowd-sourcing dress
What's a crowd-sourcing dress?
Okay, on to beautiful midi dresses
So this is a pastel yellow midi dress that took a effing while to steam out all the wrinkles
It has a ruched chest area detail with a little ribbon tie
And then this whole material of the entire dress is made from like this crepey material
It is very similar to the House of CB Carmen dress
So it does have an underlining
If this dress looks good, I'm gonna cop it in the white too
Because this is like one of my most excited dresses to try on out of everything in this haul
Hmm, I don't know how to feel about this dress
This is a hard one
Maybe I had like way too much expectations because the reviews all said that the dress looked phenomenal on them
I personally think the straps on here could have been a little bit farther apart
Like maybe around here
So this way it doesn't just like hang off your shoulders in a really awkward position
And even though it is lined on the inside, this gives the illusion that the dress has like two tiers to them
It's pretty visible
There's a little elastic stretchiness going on in the back area, which is nice
And it does feel flowy and summery and lightweight
I don't know, I just can't get over the straps

There's a slit on the side here

It comes in five different colors
Okay, this dress is freaking awesome
It fits me really well
It looks so classy
And this dress would definitely be like a 9 out of 10
Minus one point for it being so easy to see through
If I come close, maybe you guys can see shorts peeking out from under
It is just one fabric though, so okay, maybe minus another one point
So 8 out of 10 for this dress
There is a back zipper here and a little bit of an elastic trim

The feeling of this dress, like the quality of this is so thick and smooth
Yeah, if I were to get remarried, I would totally go with something like this for my bridesmaids
And it comes in six different colors
It is floor length
And then beauty with paying under $30 for a bridesmaid dress is amazing
Because you can afford to get hemmed

Because these dresses just keep getting better and better
I absolutely adore this dress
I think it is the perfect dress for any kind of wedding party
You can have the straps on the shoulders or you can have it up here
Just re-tie it in a different length
The entire dress is made from this really stretchy fabric
So you really do get quite a curve-hugging fit
I would say it's pretty forgiving even if you end up getting the wrong size
I wouldn't necessarily say this is a see-through kind of color
But you can totally see the seams of my yoga shorts
In this case, I would suggest you guys to go with a seamless biker shorts
Or even slip shorts, something that is really lightweight, really seamless
It's six colors and it's only $27

Another bridesmaid dress, this is a forest green color
When I was deeming this, I took the time to go through the front part of the chest area
It seemed like it's really see-through
So there are no inner slips
It's just this one piece of fabric
And the middle here kind of opens into a really giant cross
So you really have to be careful not to feel too wild
Or people really will be getting a wedding and a show
This is like a satin material
So it took me also a super long time to steam out all the wrinkles
I don't even care that this is a little bit see-through with the fabric
Because it looks amazing
I hardly ever go for colors like these, but I'm glad I did
I think this is such a beautiful color that's gonna be flattering on all skin tones
You see how this slits?
You open it up, another piece of fabric on the inside
What is the rule of thumb whenever you're going on a dress in summer?
Always wear shorts
Another way to prevent this from flying up is to use something like this
This is a set of velcro stickers
They are extremely strong
Stick one end of it on your dress
And then peel off another end to where they meet
Like this
It's not gonna budge
If you try to take this piece of sticker away from your fabric, it's gonna hurt the fabric
There's pros and cons to that because that means that you can really rely on these guys when you're going out dancing the night away
Without any fear that it's gonna pop open or fall out
Maybe there's a way if you use a really hot tool like a blow dryer or something
To really release the stickiness from under here
You need this dress, you just don't know it yet
You're well aware, thank you
Your friends will ask you where it's from, everyone will compliment you
You're gonna feel like the star everywhere you go in this dress
Last but not least, we gotta go with my favorite color, which is pink
This is also a bridesmaids dress, I believe
It's just very...
This feels good
Like this thin fabric material
And then inside there's a thicker lining that's the same length
I'm sorry, but this is not a dress
This is a work of art
I have never seen something on Shein that is so flattering on me
Both the fit, the cut, the quality of the fabric
Everything is just 20 out of 10
The back is a crisscross pattern that you can adjust your liking however you want
However high or low you want the dress to sit
There's also a slit down the center here with the overlapping fabric
But I mean, because the fabric is so thick
I really do feel like there's a certain level of weight to this dress
You can always use that Velcro trick
Just pin it a little lower, like here
And this way you're not gonna have the slit open up any higher than that
All in all, I say this is a wonderful bridesmaids dress
Or any formal occasion, you can definitely be rocking this dress
If you're going for a maternity photo shoot, for example
This is a great dress for your photo shoot because then your bump sits really flatteringly here
I even see in the reviews for this dress people rocking the white version as their legit wedding dress
Because the quality is just so damn amazing
